During this cycle, the European butadiene market strengthened. The Rhine River water level declined again, disrupting barge transportation and further exacerbating local logistics pressures in Europe. Demand in Europe remained firm. One producer reported that most contract customers had fully lifted their September contract volumes. A transaction of 3,750 tons was heard this week, with cargo scheduled to arrive in Asia during November–December, corresponding to September–October shipments from Europe. Strengthening Chinese downstream spot rubber prices and synthetic rubber futures supported this procurement; however, buying sentiment became more cautious following the price increase. Producers and traders raised their offers by at least USD 1,300 per ton, pushing spot prices higher. Market participants shifted their focus to October cargoes, while spot negotiations for September largely stalled.
