GMA buyers often over-focus on purity numbers while ignoring trace impurities that break downstream formulations. Hydrolyzable chlorine is the top concern for PCB solder mask and PGMA applications—it corrodes copper traces and causes curing fluctuations. Batch-to-batch drift is common with intermittent distillation, so buyers should request COA data across three consecutive batches. Residual epichlorohydrin creates odor issues and REACH compliance risks in Europe. High boilers and oligomers from prolonged heat exposure raise viscosity and yellow the product. MEHQ inhibitor levels matter too: too high slows radical polymerization, too low risks self-polymerization during storage. Storage below 30°C, avoiding light and oxygen, and using sealed UN drums are essential. Buyers should specify MEHQ content explicitly rather than assuming a default.
