Capacity Utilization Statistics for the Pure Benzene Industry Chain (Sep 18–24, 2026)

Petroleum benzene production totaled 431,900 tons, an increase of 10,300 tons (2.44%) compared to the previous period. The capacity utilization rate was 71.77%, up 1.71 percentage points from the previous period. During this cycle, units at Liwayi and others restarted; Yangzi Petrochemical adjusted its cracking feedstock; and one aromatics unit at Fujia Dahua Chemical shut down.

The operating rate of domestic benzene hydrogenation units stood at 56.24%, a decrease of 3.18 percentage points week-on-week. Within the week, Shanxi Coking Chemical’s unit restarted; loads decreased at Shandong Wanshan, Henan Shouchuang, and Puyang Shengyuan; Inner Mongolia Qinghua’s unit shut down; and Ningxia Tongde Aixin halted one line.

For styrene, the Liwayi unit continued to ramp up load following its restart last week, while one styrene line at Lianyungang Petrochemical and one at South China Shell were taken offline for maintenance. For caprolactam, Tianchen Yaolong remained affected by its recovery process started last week. For phenol, Fuyu Petrochemical’s phenol-acetone unit resumed operation on Tuesday. For aniline, one 30,000-ton/year unit at Jinling Dawang is scheduled for maintenance from September 20 to September 30. Adipic acid plant operations fluctuated normally.
