ChemPriceHub Alert: Jiangsu Photovoltaic Project List Released, Benefiting Polysilicon

Published on 2026-01-12

On January 9, the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the list of major projects in Jiangsu Province for 2026 and the list of key industrial projects for private investment in Jiangsu Province for 2026. Among them, several photovoltaic-related projects were included, such as the third phase of Kunshan Shengcheng Photovoltaic New Energy Core Equipment, Yancheng Xinyuan Jinwu Full-Color Photovoltaic Module Recycling, Gaoyou Chuangxing New Energy Environmental Protection Equipment and Photovoltaic Module Recycling, Yancheng Guohua Zhugensha Wind-Solar Co-located Offshore Photovoltaic, and Huaneng Guanyun G1-1 Wind-Solar Co-located Offshore Photovoltaic.

PriceSeek's analysis of polysilicon indicates a bullish-bearish score of 1. The release of Jiangsu Province's 2026 list of major photovoltaic-related projects, including Kunshan Shengcheng photovoltaic equipment and Yancheng Xinyuan Jinwu module recycling projects, is expected to stimulate demand growth for upstream polysilicon in the photovoltaic industry chain, which will benefit spot prices.

Combined with polysilicon futures data, such as the closing price of the 2605 contract at 49,995 yuan/ton (down 200 yuan) and the closing price of the 2606 contract at 50,650 yuan/ton (down 455 yuan), the current market reflects supply pressure. However, the expectation of new project investments is anticipated to boost medium- to long-term demand, supporting a rebound in futures prices.
