Chempricehub alerts: Blue Mountain Tunhe BDO list price increases, supply decreases.
Published on 2026-04-30

April 30 News: On April 30, Xinjiang Lanshan Tunhe released its May listing prices for BDO: The settlement price for April 2026 was 8,325 yuan/ton in East China and 8,525 yuan/ton in South China; the listing price for May 2026 is 8,600 yuan/ton in East China and 8,800 yuan/ton in South China. The Phase I plant (100,000 tons capacity) is under shutdown, while Phase II and Phase III plants (each 104,000 tons capacity) are operating stably. Chempricehub analysis of 1,4-butanediol (BDO): Bullish-Bearish Score: 1. The article indicates that the shutdown of Xinjiang Lanshan Tunhe's Phase I 100,000-ton BDO plant reduces supply, while Phase II and III plants remain stable but total capacity is limited. Meanwhile, the May listing prices of 8,600 yuan/ton in East China and 8,800 yuan/ton in South China represent increases of 275 yuan/ton compared to the April settlement prices of 8,325 yuan/ton in East China and 8,525 yuan/ton in South China, reflecting tight market supply and rising price expectations. This has a generally positive impact on spot prices of 1,4-butanediol, supporting a short-term upward price trend.
