ChemPriceHub Important Reminder: Analysis of Shandong MTBE Quotation Increase in the Market

Published on 2026-01-30

On January 30, MTBE producers in Shandong raised their quotations: Lihuayi Lijin Petrochemical increased its MTBE quotation by 90 yuan/ton to 5,050 yuan/ton. Shida Shenghua raised its MTBE quotation by 70 yuan/ton to 5,020 yuan/ton. Dongming Qianhai Chemical lifted its MTBE quotation by 120 yuan/ton to 5,000 yuan/ton, with the price determined through auction. PriceSeek analysis of MTBE, with a long-short score of 1.5, reports that three MTBE producers in Shandong (Lihuayi Lijin Petrochemical, Shida Shenghua, and Dongming Qianhai Chemical) raised their quotations by 70–120 yuan/ton, a significant increase indicating tightening spot market supply or strengthening demand. This directly benefits MTBE spot prices, which are expected to continue rising in the short term, as the higher quotations reflect producers' bullish sentiment and may boost overall market purchasing activity.
