Chempricehub Important Reminder: Inner Mongolia Adds 300 Million Tons of Fluorite Resources
Published on 2026-01-03

December 30th News
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has identified 152 mineral resources with verified reserves. Among them, 20 minerals, including coal, rare earth, and fluorite, rank first in China in terms of retained resource reserves. Additionally, 55 minerals, such as molybdenum and crystalline graphite, rank among the top three in the country in retained resource reserves. Notably, fluorite has seen an increase of 300 million tons in newly added resource reserves.

Chempricehub's analysis of fluorite assigns a long-short score of -2. The article highlights that Inner Mongolia's fluorite resources have increased by 300 million tons, with retained resource reserves ranking first in the country, indicating a significant expansion in supply potential. As a bulk commodity, an increase in supply is expected to exert notable downward pressure on spot prices. This is due to market expectations of ample future supply, which could lead to inventory accumulation and intensified price competition. This development represents a major bearish factor, potentially triggering a downward trend in spot prices.
