The mainstream spot quotation range for toluene in the East China market is 7,200–7,270 RMB/ton, up 70 RMB/ton from the previous trading day. Toluene and xylene prices rose yesterday, supported by higher crude oil settlements and a firm overnight session for aromatics. Over the weekend, Shandong independent refineries raised their quotations, and tight domestic supply underpinned the market. However, downstream demand remains largely need-based, with traders cautious about chasing price gains, resulting in subdued spot trading activity. Further upside potential is limited.
