April 20th — The mainstream quotation range for xylene in the Shandong region is 6,500–6,580 yuan/ton, down by 150 yuan/ton compared to the average price last Friday. After a sharp decline, international crude oil prices rebounded slightly, providing limited support to domestic chemical products. Following the significant drop in toluene and xylene prices earlier, coupled with the decline in Shandong local refinery prices over the weekend, the spot market in East China weakened under pressure today. Currently, the price difference between PX and MX has widened, and export arbitrage opportunities for toluene have emerged. Overall, the aromatics market is expected to remain weak in the short term.
