For ethylene-based vinyl acetate (VAM), the weekly average price of glacial acetic acid in Jiangsu was 3,560 yuan/mt, and the weekly average ethylene price in Northeast Asia was USD 1,105/mt. Based on the Chempricehub cost estimation formula, the theoretical cost of ethylene-based VAM this week was 6,986.07 yuan/mt. The current weekly average price of ethylene-based VAM in East China (Shanghai Petrochemical ex-works price) was 7,000 yuan/mt, giving a weekly average theoretical gross profit of 13.93 yuan/mt.

For calcium carbide-based VAM, the weekly average price of glacial acetic acid in North China was 3,568 yuan/mt, and the weekly average price of calcium carbide in Northwest China was 2,650 yuan/mt. Based on the Chempricehub cost estimation formula, the theoretical cost of calcium carbide-based VAM this week was 6,353.60 yuan/mt. The current price of VAM from Great Wall Energy & Chemical in Jiangsu was 6,950 yuan/mt, giving a weekly average theoretical gross profit of 596.40 yuan/mt.

For calcium carbide-based VAM, the weekly average price of glacial acetic acid in North China was 2,559 yuan/mt, and the weekly average price of calcium carbide in Northwest China was 2,550 yuan/mt. Based on the Chempricehub cost estimation formula, the theoretical cost of calcium carbide-based VAM this week was 5,443.30 yuan/mt. The current price of VAM from Great Wall Energy & Chemical in Jiangsu was 5,700 yuan/mt, giving a weekly average theoretical gross profit of 156.70 yuan/mt.
