Weekly Profit Data Statistics for Acrylic Emulsion Production in China (September 11–17, 2026)

Published on 2026-09-17

As of September 17, 2026, the theoretical production gross margin for pure acrylic emulsion stood at CNY 286.5 per ton this week, down by CNY 62.5 per ton (a decrease of 17.91%) compared to the previous week. The theoretical production gross margin for styrene-acrylic emulsion was -CNY 478.56 per ton, an increase of CNY 35.6 per ton (up 6.92%) from the prior period. The primary driver behind these changes was the rising prices of raw materials butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate (MMA) during the week. Consequently, cost pressures on styrene-acrylic emulsions led to higher offer prices, resulting in a slight recovery in profitability levels across the acrylic emulsion sector.

Sample Description: On the data release date, Chempricehub Information monitors theoretical costs and profits based on the statistical prices of pure acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions, as well as the listed prices of raw materials.

Definitions:

  • Cost: Production cost refers to the total sum of direct expenses, direct labor, and indirect manufacturing overhead incurred by an enterprise to produce a specific variety and quantity of products. For acrylic emulsions, the production cost is calculated theoretically based on three major raw materials: butyl acrylate, MMA, and styrene.
  • Profit: Production profit is calculated using the prices of pure acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions as benchmarks. It represents the price minus the total cost and additional expenses (excluding financial expenses).

Statistical Scope: The statistical period runs from last Friday to this Thursday, comparing profit data between this Thursday and last Thursday. Chempricehub Information’s acrylic emulsion product profit data consists of first-hand statistics, released between 15:00 and 17:00 on working Thursdays each week.

Saw pure acrylic margins drop nearly 18% due to rising butyl acrylate and MMA feedstock costs. While styrene-acrylic losses narrowed slightly, negative margins persist. This cost pressure could squeeze capacity utilizati..
