Diammonium phosphate (DAP, ammonium phosphate, CAS 7783-28-0) is a white crystalline or granular solid, freely soluble in water, with a molecular weight of 132.06. It is a high-concentration, fast-acting nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer and an industrial intermediate.

Fertilizer: a major DAP grade containing roughly 18% nitrogen and 46% P₂O₅, suited to a wide range of soils and crops, though caution is advised on alkaline soils where ammonia release can harm seeds and seedlings.
Industrial: used as a flame retardant, in water treatment, and in metallurgy.
Food & feed: applied as a nutrient supplement and processing aid.
Reagent: available in high-purity ACS and Ph Eur grades with tightly controlled heavy-metal and cation traces for laboratory use.
