Energy storage: the dominant cathode chemistry for grid-scale and utility storage batteries, with cycle life exceeding 10,000 cycles in well-designed systems.
Electric vehicles: widely used in Chinese passenger cars and commercial vehicles, offering safe operation and practical ranges of 500–600 km in current-generation cells.
Two-wheelers and buses: the preferred chemistry for urban public transport and light electric vehicles, where safety and operational longevity outweigh energy density.
