On June 16, the CGN Golmud 350 MW solar thermal power project, featuring the world's largest single-unit thermal storage capacity and mirror field area, commenced construction in Golmud, Qinghai. The project is equipped with 15 hours of molten salt thermal storage, with a storage capacity of 11,747 MWh, enabling peak regulation and stable power generation while enhancing the integration of new energy. Once completed, it is expected to generate 1 billion kWh of electricity annually, saving 320,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 860,000 tons per year.
