On September 29, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), eab New Energy GmbH, and SEG Ingeniería launched a public-private partnership to conduct technical, economic, and regulatory feasibility studies for a new energy project in Villa María, Córdoba Province, Argentina. The preliminary configuration of the project includes a 200 MW electrolyzer, planned to produce approximately 20,000 tonnes per year of renewable hydrogen using wind and solar power. This hydrogen will be combined with locally sourced biogenic carbon dioxide to further produce approximately 110,000 tonnes per year of e-methanol.
