Public Notice of Fuhai Dongying Refining and Chemical Project: New Capacity Added for PX and Other Products

Recently, the first public notice for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the "Low-Carbon Reconstruction and Comprehensive Utilization Demonstration Project for Aromatic Feedstocks" by Fuhai (Dongying) Petrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. was released.

The project has a total investment of approximately RMB 75.2 billion and covers an area of 9,000 mu (approximately 6 square kilometers). It involves the construction of 42 new petrochemical units and associated auxiliary facilities, including:

• A 10 million tons/year oil refining unit;
• A 1 million tons/year ethylene plant;
• A 1 million tons/year paraxylene (PX) plant.

Upon completion, the facility is expected to produce annually:

• 4.5017 million tons of PX feedstock;
• 2.29 million tons of high-value-added chemicals;
• 1.4208 million tons of high-end polyolefins and new materials;
• 2 million tons of co-produced refined petroleum products.
