On October 22, the Cracked C5 index rose by 1.46% compared to the previous week. The price index for downstream cracked C5 residual liquid fell by 3.39%. Specifically, isoprene prices increased by 0.99%, piperylene prices rose by 1.12%, and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) prices climbed by 3.58%. Overall, the significant decline in cracked C5 residual liquid prices, coupled with the rise in cracked C5 feedstock costs, led to a contraction in separation margins.
Looking ahead to next week, cracked C5 prices are expected to continue rising in certain regions, while piperylene prices may see sporadic upward adjustments. Consequently, cracked C5 residual liquid prices are likely to remain under downward pressure, leading to a slight further decrease in C5 separation profits.
