This week (October 30–November 5, 2026), caprolactam production stood at 122,800 tons, remaining stable compared to the previous period.
Sample Description: The caprolactam production and capacity utilization data compiled by Chempricehub cover total output from all Chinese caprolactam producers, encompassing 18 domestic plants with a 100% sample coverage rate.
Definitions:
- Production Volume: Refers to the actual quantity of goods meeting relevant standards produced by manufacturers over a specified period. It denotes real output measured in terms of weight or volume under standard units, rather than commercial transaction volumes.
- Capacity Utilization Rate: Indicates the degree to which a company’s production capacity is being used, also known as operating load. It is calculated as the ratio of product output or raw material processing volume to effective capacity. (Note: At the end of each year, Chempricehub excludes capacities that have been continuously shut down for two calendar years or more from the effective capacity base, classifying them as “zombie capacity” and not including them in capacity utilization calculations.)
Statistical Scope: The statistical period for Chempricehub’s caprolactam production and capacity utilization data runs from Friday of the previous week through Thursday of the current week. Data is released at 17:00 on Thursdays during business days.
